The apartments are named after the paddle steamers which were owned by Captain Buchanan, a Clyde shipping magnate, who built ‘Kinneil’ as his family home in 1885.
Kinneil is a Non-Smoking House and provides you a high 3 Stars Comfort in all apartments. Each apartment has breathtaking views over the Bay of Lamlash, Scotland’s first ‘No take zone’ to Holy Isle and the mainland beyond, are self-contained, and fully and comfortably furnished.
The following are provided at ‘Kinneil’:
- electricity, linen and towels are included in the rental. We ask our guests to use energy economically to limit the impact on the environment.
- hairdryers, irons and ironing boards.
- heating by storage heaters and/ or on demand heaters, living-fire stove, effect heaters, radiant fires
- a remote control colour TV and DVD, CD player
- all apartments have a fully equipped kitchen with a full size oven, in addition to a microwave and refrigerator and freezer/or fridge freezer in each apartment
- guests have use of the garden
- there is free car parking
